Official Osceola County Contacts

Osceola County has no verified official public jail roster or booking feed. Use the contacts below for the record or court stage at issue, and keep requests narrow and date-specific when possible.

Osceola County Sheriff's Office

Sheriff Mark Cool
325 W. Upton
Reed City, MI 49677
Phone: (231) 832-2288
Email: mcool@osceolacountymi.gov

For a county booking record, booking photograph, or custody question, the Sheriff's Office is the primary official contact. The office provides corrections and inmate processing, but the research found no public roster or booking feed.

Osceola County FOIA Coordinator

Tim Ladd, County FOIA Coordinator
602 W. Upton Ave
Reed City, MI 49677
Phone: (231) 832-6196
Email: oscadmin@osceolacountymi.gov

The county's FOIA request form routes Sheriff Records to Sheriff Mark Cool. Michigan FOIA requests can be subject to exemptions and redactions under MCL 15.243.

77th District Court

Criminal Clerk and Arraignment/Bail Path
301 W. Upton
Reed City, MI 49677
Phone: (231) 832-6155, option 1
Email: traymond@77districtcourt.org

Contact the district court for criminal-clerk questions, arraignment, bail, misdemeanor matters, and felony preliminary examinations. A court record is distinct from a booking record.

49th Circuit Court

Felony Records and Disposition Path
301 W. Upton
Reed City, MI 49677
Phone: (231) 832-3261, extension 2

The circuit court is the appropriate local path for felony criminal records and later disposition questions after a felony case reaches circuit court.

State, Federal, and Immigration Systems

MDOC OTIS is an official Michigan system for sentenced state-prison and supervision records. It is not an Osceola County booking search. Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator and the ICE detainee locator are separate federal and immigration systems, not county booking records.

Use the Correct Record Path

  • For a local booking, custody, release, or booking-photo question, start with the Sheriff's Office.
  • For a formal county records request, use the FOIA route and identify the person, date, agency, and specific record sought.
  • For arraignment, bail, misdemeanor, or preliminary-examination questions, contact the 77th District Court.
  • For a felony case record or later disposition, contact the 49th Circuit Court.
  • For a sentenced Michigan state-prison or supervision record, use MDOC OTIS. Use the BOP or ICE locator only for their separate systems.
